The developers behind RuneScape: Dragonwilds have shared a new development update outlining plans for the upcoming 0.11 update and changes to the game’s roadmap. The team confirmed that while the major March update is still on track, one highly anticipated feature will arrive slightly later than originally planned.
March Update 0.11 Still On Track
According to the developers, the team is currently working toward delivering the 0.11 update at the end of March, which will introduce new content including Dowdun Reach, a new area coming to the game. The update is part of the ongoing content roadmap as the Early Access survival crafting game continues to expand.
Released in April 2025 by Jagex, the game is a co-op survival crafting experience set on the continent of Ashenfall, where players gather resources, build bases, and fight dangerous creatures while exploring RuneScape’s world in a new format.
Fishing Feature Delayed to April
One major change announced in the update is that Fishing will no longer launch with version 0.11.
The development team explained that the feature needs additional work to meet their quality standards. Instead, Fishing is now planned for Update 0.11.1 in April, which will coincide with the game’s one-year anniversary.
When the feature arrives, players can expect:
- A full Fishing skill system
- New fish that can be caught and cooked
- Skill spells tied to the activity
- Decorations and additional quests
The developers emphasized that they want Fishing to become one of the game’s most enjoyable skills before releasing it to players.
Skill Level Cap Increasing to 99
Another major change coming to the game is the increase of the skill cap to level 99 across all skills, responding to one of the most requested features from the community.
While much of the current gameplay content exists up to around level 50 (or 65 for Farming), players will now be able to continue progressing toward level 99 while additional high-level content is added in future updates.
The developers say this mirrors the progression style seen in the broader RuneScape universe and gives dedicated players more long-term progression goals.
RuneCrafting Rework Planned
The team also confirmed that RuneCrafting will receive a major refactor as part of the ongoing updates. The skill will be expanded with a brand-new skilling activity, giving players new ways to interact with the system as development continues.
Early Access Development Continues
As an Early Access title, RuneScape: Dragonwilds continues to evolve through community feedback and ongoing content updates. The developers say that the roadmap remains ambitious, with major features and gameplay systems still planned for future patches.
With Update 0.11 arriving later this month and the Fishing update planned shortly after, players can expect the world of Ashenfall to continue growing throughout 2026.
