The upcoming fantasy MMORPG Scars of Honor is preparing for its next major milestone, as developer Beast Burst Entertainment has officially announced a new Steam playtest scheduled to run from April 30 through May 11.
This upcoming test will give players their first opportunity to explore the world of Aragon through Steam and experience many of the core systems the team has been showcasing during recent development updates.
First Major Steam Playtest
The playtest represents an important step for the MMORPG as the development team prepares the game for a wider audience. Players interested in participating can request access directly through the game’s Steam page, with invitations expected to be sent out in waves leading up to the event.
Unlike earlier tests that required joining the community through Discord, this playtest simplifies access by allowing players to request entry directly via Steam.
What Players Can Expect
During the playtest, players will be able to try a variety of gameplay systems that form the foundation of Scars of Honor. These include:
- Core combat and leveling systems
- Questing and open-world exploration
- The game’s talent trees and Scar System
- Gathering and crafting
- A procedural dungeon
- PvP battlegrounds and arena combat
- Built-in voice chat for players and groups
Together, these features will provide a substantial early look at the MMORPG’s mechanics and progression systems.
A Technical Test for Feedback
The upcoming event is also being described as a technical playtest, meaning the developers are actively looking for feedback and performance data from players.
Some systems may still be unfinished or in testing stages, and the team is encouraging players to experiment with the game and report bugs or issues they encounter. The goal is to gather data that will help refine combat balance, progression, and overall gameplay ahead of future development stages.
Preparing for the Journey to Aragon
With the playtest still several weeks away, the development team says more details will be shared as the event approaches. Players eager to try the game are encouraged to request access early to increase their chances of getting into the test.
For fans of classic-style MMORPGs with modern systems, the April playtest could offer the first real glimpse at what Scars of Honor has to offer when it opens its gates to players later this spring.
