Shiro Games has officially delayed the Early Access launch of SpaceCraft from May 20 to June 11, 2026, giving the development team additional time to improve polish, finalize translations, and prepare the game for launch. The announcement was shared through the game’s latest Steam development update.

According to the developers, the short delay is intended to “ensure a better gameplay experience” while allowing the studio to continue improving stability and overall quality ahead of release. Shiro Games also confirmed that additional beta invitation waves are scheduled for May 20 and June 8, giving more players the opportunity to test the game before Early Access officially begins.
Over 400,000 Steam Wishlists
Alongside the release delay, the studio revealed that SpaceCraft has now surpassed 400,000 wishlists on Steam — a major milestone for the upcoming online space sandbox. The developers described the achievement as a huge moment for the team and thanked the community for its continued support throughout development.
The game has steadily gained momentum following its recent Steam Next Fest demo, where thousands of players tested the title’s exploration, mining, ship construction, and automation systems. Earlier development updates revealed that more than 70,000 players participated in the demo while SpaceCraft ranked among the top 25 demos during the event.
A Massive Online Space Sandbox
SpaceCraft is being developed as a persistent online sci-fi sandbox focused on exploration, automation, industry, and player cooperation. Players will be able to travel seamlessly between planets and space, construct modular ships, automate planetary bases, and create interplanetary logistics networks across a massive galaxy.
The game also includes Corporation systems that allow groups of players to organize industrial operations, trade routes, and large-scale resource management. PvP combat and territory competition are also planned as part of the wider player-driven economy.
Community Feedback Continues to Shape Development
Following the demo release, Shiro Games has continued making adjustments based on player feedback. Recent updates introduced expanded settings options, UI improvements, key rebinding, performance fixes, server stability updates, and improvements to mining controls. The developers also confirmed that ship handling refinements and additional optimization work are still in progress.
Community discussion around the game has remained active across Steam and Reddit, with many players praising the scale and ambition of the project while also offering feedback on progression pacing, crafting balance, and ship systems during the beta and demo periods.
Looking Ahead to Launch
Despite the brief delay, anticipation around SpaceCraft continues to grow as the game approaches Early Access. With seamless planetary travel, industrial automation, cooperative multiplayer systems, and large-scale ship building at its core, the project is positioning itself as one of the more ambitious upcoming MMO sandbox releases on Steam.
